We were at the Civil War Encampment on the weekend of June 7-8th. What a great time! All the re-enactors were friendly and quick to offer information, we took a ride on a replica of an 1800's steamboat, rode in a cart pulled by a steam tractor, saw a "bloody" battle, got some delicious root beer and a lovely wide brimmed hat. Great fun!

Excellent exhibits with fantastic staff. Must plan a visit when in the area. Guaranteed to enjoy and learn fascinating new things.

A hidden gem of NJ history. The museum boasts the oldest house in Hunterdon County and a superb blacksmith shop, printing press, and outstanding antique agricultural equipment collection.

Nice, small historical treasure. Great for school groups...
